HUNDREDS OF DEATHS LINKED TO FENTANYL OVERDOSE
LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK (January 1, 2017) – Fentanyl has surpassed heroin on Long Island and in New England as the deadliest drug, according to the New York Times.
More people died from the drug than died from heroin overdoses in the same period.
Fentanyl is an opiod and is used to treat people who are in extreme pain. Unlike heroin, it is a synthetic drug and can be created in a lab.
Overdoses from fentanyl have led to a number of lawsuits over the years. Many of the overdoses were not intentional.
Drug traffickers have also started putting fentanyl into heroin making the two drugs that much deadlier.
If someone you love has died due to a fentanyl overdose, the best thing that you could possibly do is to contact a personal injury lawyer and have them evaluate your case.
